If you’re not bringing a vehicle, both options work fine. Express boats are preferred for speed, while ferries offer more stability and comfort for those prone to seasickness.
If you are bringing a car, your only option is vehicle ferry (phà cao tốc).If you’re bringing a motorbike, both options are possible — though loading motorbikes onto express boats can be more cumbersome and expensive during peak periods.
